Job Role and Responsibility
- Own the data analysis and reporting for the Business Capex supply side view of circa £200m budget
- Work closely with finance to establish a robust process for self service of backing data
- Acts as a key point of interface with Delivery Leads, finance and Directors
- Define best in class data reporting and insights process and governance
- Responsible for the co-ordination of cross-functional working resulting in world class reporting
- Identifies areas for deep dives, re-prioritization and influences stakeholders and works with teams to implement change
- Supports the planning, prioritisation including iterations, flexing to business needs to maximise return on investment from a supply side perspective.
Experience
- Effective at interpreting information and drawing conclusions to communicate to senior stakeholders to drive business decisions.
- Well-developed commercial awareness and business acumen; business strategy, organisational performance and KPIs, people motivation and performance.
- Capable of interacting and developing effective relationships with peers and senior leaders across the Delivery Units and the CIO organisations.
- Strong experience in building and sustaining effective and trusted relationships at all levels up to Director.
Skills Required that will help succeed
- An analytical thinker, be able to work with ‘big data’ extracting key signals and translating these into actionable intelligence for executive management / board level
- Data modelling and experience of business/continuous improvement methodology and practices
- Understanding of internal commercial insight and latest thinking to see the bigger picture
- Excellent IT skills, including Excel and PowerPoint, data modelling and experience of business/continuous improvement methodology and practices
- Proven experience of stakeholder management and influencing skills at a senior level.
- Confident at challenging, influencing and negotiating at senior level on a regular basis.
- High level of business acumen and excellent commercial experience – be able articulate risk assessment and impact.
- Excellent communication skills, be able to shape presentations to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders and different audiences.
- Lead a matrixed team, with the right interpersonal skills to support, guide and coach and collaborate across common goals.
